Dear Yulegoat

Dear Mystery Writer,

I'm Cousin Shelley on AO3 and other fandom spaces.

Things I Like
DNWs

My requests:

The Tick
Wellington Paranormal
Blackpool
Inside Men
The Trollenberg Terror
Los Espookys

Please don't feel constrained by my prompts. I offer them as suggestions about what I like a lot, but they're not requirements. Feel free to write a scenario of your own.

Also, some fandoms have a lot more prompts and ideas than others. That doesn't mean I prefer it or want that more than the others. Some are newer requests that I haven't built up ideas for over time, and I don't always get the same number of ideas for everything I love, that's all!

General likes:

  • friendship, found families, loyalty and love whether it's sexual or not
  • deep emotional connections and devotion
  • third person POV
  • people figuring things out together
  • gray areas and difficult choices
  • missing scenes and fix-its, as well as case-fic and plotty stories
  • displays of affection and respect
  • protectiveness and characters sacrificing their own comforts to help others
  • dub-con in certain fandoms/pairings
  • mutual pining with a happy ending, unrequited love finally realized
  • hurt/comfort, especially things like one comforting another after a nightmare, tending wounds, caring for them when they're ill or injured, hovering after something traumatic and trying to take their mind off things
  • oh my god there's only one bed and every other possible bedsharing scenario
  • fake couple/marriage for whatever reasons to real romance
  • forced proximity
  • first kiss, first realization of feelings, first times
  • humor, snark and banter, laughing and joking with each other
  • I prefer flirting/pining/UST, getting there or first times rather than established relationship stories unless the characters are already couple in canon.
  • happy endings

Smut Likes! I like sexytimes. I'm also perfectly happy to get a story that contains no sex at all or fade-to-black scenes. . I'm totally okay with any sex scenes you want to write being written with more generalities and less blow-by-blow anatomical detail. You can focus on the emotions more than the acts or body parts, and I will love it! Here's some relevant info if you'd like to write something explicit:
  • I really prefer porn with feelings and emotional sex
  • possessiveness and a little jealousy
  • first times
  • dubcon in some fandoms/pairings
  • desperate, hungry kissing
  • one or both partners overwhelmed with passion and feelings
  • manhandling and displays of strength
  • looking into each other's eyes while having sex and it almost being too much for one/both of them
  • fake dating/marriage leading to sex as the characters realize their feelings
  • up against the wall sex
  • kneeling (especially for oral sex, but to kiss knees or thighs or anything like that, grand)
  • penetrative sex, oral sex, fingers, frottage, rimming, mutual masturbation or one watching the other
  • naked and half-naked or one clothed and the other naked, basically any combo of clothed/not clothed
  • necking, petting, face and neck and body stroking, kissing and/or licking pretty much anywhere
  • I really like up against the wall and one riding the other, especially if near the end the one on the bottom sits up and bounces the rider a lot more as things get intense, but any positions are fine
  • thank god you're/we're alive sex
  • bed-sharing or forced proximity that leads to romantic moments and/or sex
  • one character being suddenly so overcome with feeling and desire for the other they kiss them and initiate things out of the blue, like they can't wait another second--love those big music swell moments
  • bent over and fucked from behind
  • hurt/comfort that leads to romantic things and/or sex
  • light hair-pulling in the heat of the moment
  • either partner sucking the other's finger
  • one or both saying they need the other
DNWs
  • anything pandemic-related (let's have it not exist please, no mentions, no masks, no distancing, no deaths).
  • anything political or related to social justice or current events, including names of any RL people or public figures.
  • AU (setting, A/B/O, genderswapping, etc.) but minor canon divergence to get non-canon couples together or see what happens if they go left instead of right are fine
  • unhappy and otherwise bleak endings
  • first and second person POV. I cannot get into it unless the canon is in first person or it's a fandom where journal entries and epistolary stories makes sense. I like those, so I'll point them out. Otherwise, I don't read them.
  • unrequested ships and original major characters
  • kidfic and pregnancy including mpreg
  • unrequested gender identity or sexuality headcanons, a focus on gender identity or sexuality, teach-me-a-lesson fic
  • surprise serious illness, character death, as well as cruelty to animals/animal death, infidelity, partner betrayal
  • death of a requested character
  • original character's outsider POV
  • holiday stories, unrequested crack/parodies, unrequested crossovers
  • non-traditional capitalization and punctuation, please use capital letters where appropriate and use quotation marks for speech. I have poor eyesight and reading something in all lower caps or with dashes for speech or something unusual is a lot harder than people with good vision might imagine

To clarify on the surprise serious illness, things like referencing canon trauma is fine but someone having a stroke or a life-threatening non-canon disease is a big no. Injuries are different. A character could get shot in something like a hurt/comfort or casefic scenario, things like broken bones, wounds (physical and mental) and even more minor injuries are fine as long as they'll heal.

Sex DNWs:
  • non-con (though I often like the dubbiest of dubcon, depending on the fandom)
  • underage
  • characters calling each other daddy, baby boy/girl, slut, bitch, whore mommy or similar during sex
  • generic dirty talk
  • sex toys, BDSM, fisting, insertions and things like edging, pain, torture, spitting, choking and hitting (unless it's a playful slap on the ass when they're really having fun or something or a dark context where it's meant to be bad/scary and it turns out okay)
  • focus on bodily fluids or excretions, except sweat and tears (and blood where I mention it), come play or eating (in oral sex, swallowing is fine and I prefer that to the alternatives, but don't focus on the taste/texture, etc.)
  • Spitting. Enemas. Urine-related kinks.
  • mpreg, pregnancy, oviposition or any other kinks along those lines involving eggs, inflations, dehumanization and extreme objectification, body horror-related sex stuff
The Tick
Dot Everest, Overkill

I hate so much that The Tick ended when we were heading for so much good stuff between these two. I loved the show so much, but I looked forward to seeing their relationship really develop. Yes, I ship them, and since they were obviously getting closer all the time in canon I don't really have any gen prompts for them. As long as they're the focus and interacting in their typical way, I'll enjoy it. I have some shippy prompts, and some sexy prompts if you're looking to write that. References to past canonical Overkill/Ms. Lint are fine, especially in a humorous light, like the way Dot told them they both needed therapy after witnessing her "torturing" him. Ha!

  • I'd love to see Overkill trying really hard to have a "normal" relationship with Dot. He asks her on their first official date, let's say. What does that look like and how awkward/uncomfortable is he, though he's trying really hard for a traditional evening? Or maybe he takes her somewhere they can shoot targets or throw knives or something and she thinks they're just training but he thinks it's a date. What does romantic look like for each of them? I think there are a lot of great scenarios that could come out of their vastly different worldviews and Overkill's emotional repression.
  • I like the idea of Overkill being hesitant to have an actual relationship since he canonically so uncomfortable with being vulnerable, and I would love for him to be vulnerable as things get more intense (and sexual if you want to go there) between them. At a certain point, he can get past that and go all in, and be growly and needy and a bit more aggressive. \o/
  • A situation where either is hurt and the other comforting them, and things get romantic/sensual and/or sexual.
  • Him kneeling for any reason, but for giving oral sex or doing anything sexy? YAY
  • Desperate kissing after defying death and/or saving each other that makes them realize things and leads to more (or not), all good stuff
  • I also really like the idea of a light touch here. Laughing and having a good time (though maybe mostly Dot, but him feeling the same even if he doesn't show it as much), and their first really romantic or sexual encounter just being a feel-good happy thing, I'm on board with that. I love the idea of Dot drawing him out of his lonewolf cave.
  • I also really like that he's so strong, but also that Dot is. So manhandling, one just moving the other here and there, very athletic sex, whee.
  • Maybe Dot takes charge and asks him on an official date, and while he's uncomfortable and a little awkward about it, he obviously wants to be with her, so he agrees.
  • I really like the idea of one thinking the other has been killed, all the things unsaid and undone and feeling such loss and grief, and the elation on finding them okay being the catalyst for more.
  • Overkill making his moves after seeing someone else flirting with Dot would be good, too. Pining and jealousy fic as long as feelings are revealed in the end and they're going to be together? I'm good! Dot goes on a date (or he thinks she does) and it makes him absolutely crazy, preferably with an unexpected kiss at some point because he just can't hold back anymore.
  • Overkill's cyborg hands going haywire would be a great scenario. Either because he keeps grabbing her and hanging on despite not trying to, or because someone's controlling his hands to try to kill her (or him) and he's trying to fight that. Good emotional stuff there. Also his hands going haywire so Dot has help him do things like eat or something would be good. There are so many possibilities!
I loved everything about these two, but I also loved the show in general. Any characters or plots are welcome as long as they're the focus and there's something obviously brewing between Dot and Overkill the way there clearly was in canon.

Wellington Paranormal

Officer O'Leary, Officer Kyle Minogue, Sergeant Maaka, Constable Parker

This show is so much fun. I think it's a wonderful spin-off of What We Do in the Shadows, which is one of my favorite movies.

Any kind of paranormal case or everyday interactions between Minogue and O'Leary, or Minogue, O'Leary and Sergeant Maaka would be great. I didn't select Maaka, but feel free to include him if you want! I love their friendship, and really how O'Leary seems to be the lead and Minogue defers to her a lot. And I love how hell can break loose and their reaction is to explain the situation calmly and say "we'd better do something about that, hadn't we?" Any casefic or just casual conversation about anything driving around in the car or in Maaka's office would work for me. If you have fun with them, so will I.

Wellington Paranormal-specific DNW:Please don't make O'Leary being gay a point of comedy, like O'Leary talking about someone she likes and Minogue thinking maybe it's him or that kind of misunderstanding, or Minogue finally getting it and acting disappointed. Ack. Just let him be cool with it if you bring it in at all, and I would not be opposed to him trying to set her up with a sister, or pointing out that she deserves better than someone who is currently disappointing her in one of their car conversations, things along those lines.

  • After exposure to some paranormal creature Minogue starts to grow a tail or horns some other bizarre thing. I can picture him trying to hide it at first and then revealing it, and O'Leary taking it in stride like, "Oh, well, that's not good, is it? No, it's not. Where will you find pants/a hat to fit? Tricky that," in the way they casually and hilariously deal with the most alarming things on the show. How do they solve the problem, or do they?
  • They have to use a ouija board or some other device to try to contact someone who's passed on for information about a case? How crazily wrong could that go if they lose track of the letters and decipher the message incorrectly?
  • One becomes psychic and drives the other crazy by constantly saying what will happen next, but only mundane things. Girl in the coffee shop's wearing purple today, before they get there, but not that someone naked is going to dash in front of their car, or something worth predicting.
  • One gets possessed and the entity has messages show up on their skin or some other way, and they both keep interpreting the meanings wrong, but somehow fix it anyway. Or the possessed one keeps getting scolded by the others for being rude, pushy, nasty, whatever. O'Leary especially will not put up with that nonsense!
  • They release a djinn or some other wish-granting entity and between them (whether the two or three of them) get three wishes. Through a comedy of errors or their special brand of simple goodness and incompetence, their wishes aren't going to be a million dollars, world peace and lifelong love. Does Minogue at least end up with a really good meat pie out of the deal?
  • Minogue or Maaka gets abducted by aliens, and can't convince the others that anything truly amazing/frightening/monumental happened. O'Leary especially keeps finding rational explanations for everything.
  • Officer Minogue accidentally makes a crossroads deal with a demon for something absolutely ridiculous (like a meat pie). How does O'Leary come to understand he's really sold his soul, and how do they manage to get the deal annulled?
  • A skinwalker type creature appears as either of them insistingn they're the real O'Leary/Minogue. How does the other discover which is the real one, and how silly does it get while they're trying to figure it out.
  • Anything in the tone of the show, really. A case, a car conversation, something goofy in Maaka's office (like his making beeps with his mouth to pretend to have a better code on the door). Just make it weird in that Wellington way and I'll enjoy it!

Blackpool | Viva Blackpool

Peter Carlisle, Ripley Holden

I watched this for the first time this year and can't understand why there's not more fanfic about it in general and these two specifically. Yes, I ship them, but if you don't that's perfectly okay. I love that they're both incredible shits who make bad choices for different reasons of differing severity but deep down where it counts most they love the people they love and will protect them at any cost. And develop a sort of grudging understanding and maybe even a bit of respect despite their vast differences. All that and weird sing-alongs and dance numbers? Holy shit, yes.

I'd love to see what kind of silly (and tense and/or hot) situation would lead to them kissing or fist-fighting or protecting each other or doing anything else, but as long as they're interacting in the way they do on the show, it'll be fun. It appeals heavily to my goofy side, and they're both so hot yet different in such different ways. I still can't believe how hard I fell for this show and why nobody screamed at me that I'd been missing out.

If you don't ship them and you go pure canon, I promise that'll be great. I mean, in the first episode while they're singing These Boots are Made for Walkin', you've got dropping to the knees, standing chest to chest, holding each other in a dance pose, pressing foreheads together, and one dipping the other too far back, with no intention of making it shippy. What the hell?  And can people eyefuck one another platonically?  Because I feel like they did a lot of that, and I loved every second of it. They don't ever need to kiss, just give me more of what the show did along with the humor and I'll love it. I don't expect a song and dance number, I feel like that's a big ask, but if you can work even a single line of lyrics or one kick-ball-change of that type of thing in, wow, would I be floored!

  • I feel like there's so much to be mined just from the first episode. Their first meeting even. The tension between them, whether you see it as shippy or not, is fantastic. I love their back and forth, with Peter often saying something Ripley doesn't quite get, but his pride won't let him admit that. A conversation where each thinks he's having a different conversation, whether about the murder, or business, or being a cop, would be fun.
  • Peter's comment about what Freud would say about Ripley's jokes revealing the truth. Maybe Ripley makes another joke or jokes, says something suggestive, uses innuendos, and Peter can point out what Freud might say about the truth behind it (sexily or not). Freudian slips could reveal that Ripley has certain thoughts about him. I think it's a perfect scenario for sexy thoughts, but any conversation with Peter dissecting it and Ripley getting in deeper saying dumb things and making it easy for him could be a lot of fun.
  • Ripley's getting a migraine from being shut down and all of Peter's questions and comments. Peter has something in his pocket for that. Then his stomach turns. Peter digs in his pockets. He starts sneezing (or hiccoughing, or anything else) and Peter's pockets to the rescue. What kind of weird shit does he carry around, and what does Ripley think of it?
  • While Peter's hanging around and being annoying, he takes a liking to one particular machine and keeps winning while Ripley gets more and more irritated about it. Does he try to startle him before his next play, recite random numbers to confuse him, sing in his ear, tell him there's a dead body in the alley? I can see this getting pretty ridiculous, and fun.
  • I'm mostly in mood for more lighthearted fare this year, but I would also enjoy something angstier as long as it ended happily. Someone else comes along and suspects Ripley's son and is prepared to put him away, but Peter helps Ripley so that doesn't happen (though maybe it seems inevitable for a while and they bond over their willingness to protect the boy). Maybe Peter protects Shyanne from a mugging or does something to win Ripley's trust so he doesn't see him as the enemy. Any tense or angsty situation involving them both that resolves somewhat happily would be great. (They can still be angry, snarky bastards in the end, just don't have them really at each other's throats please.)
If you're into Peter/Ripley, I will enjoy anything from flirting to smut:

  • A story where Ripley is attracted to Peter from the beginning and Peter knows it (and reciprocates) would be a lot of fun. I think Ripley's intimidated and a bit resentful of the guy he sees as someone thinking he's better class, but Peter turns him on, and he hates that. Of course, Peter loves that. I feel like this ship was made for all the angry, smart-assed flirting.
  • Feel all kinds of freaking free to give the These Boots are Made for Walking dance a different ending where Peter doesn't walk off. Change parts of it and somehow making it sexier than it already is. Hoo boy!
  • I also really like the idea of it not being a song and dance, but much of the same choreography in an argument or a showdown about the murder, or just their oil and water personalities. I mean, doing some of that stuff outside of a musical background . . . I envision an angry blowjob, almost competitive, in an "I'll show that punter who does it best" kind of way. Angry sexual tension FTW.
  • A more pointed conversation after Peter walks in on the forehead kiss in Ep 4 with "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" and Ripley's so irritated.
  • When Ripley goes to confront Peter after finding Danny on the railroad tracks and confesses to moving the body, there's a lot of talk about him wondering it would take for Peter to look the other way about things. Maybe they can work something out?
  • In the silly fantasy pool sequence, there's a lot of angry shoving each other's head down under the water in front of them. Have fun with that. :D
  • Peter's Freud remark (and perhaps continued ones) would go the extra mile if everything was sexually charged.
  • Maybe Ripley's watching Peter eat an ice cream cone the way he does, like he's trying to get it off, and he has thoughts. Or take 30 seconds of the Boots dance and share what one person is thinking or conversation they're having when their foreheads are pressed together instead of singing. I'm going to enjoy them together doing much of anything.
  • For something on the angstier or more serious side (just please no unhappy ending or them ending up hating each other or anything), have on incredibly jealous of the other. We know neither of them reacts to well to someone they care about being with someone else. Ripley's off on another extra-marital and Peter's jealous. Maybe Ripley's jealous of Peter's youngish partner? Angsty, angry sex, angry passion, always a good time. Just please don't have them fight over Natalie. I actually like Peter/Natalie, and I liked that despite Ripley being a shitheel he loved her enough to do the right thing, but I'd rather not have her be an object of either of their lust in the story. She can be in it if you want, I like her! Same for any characters. Feel free, just don't have them both pursuing her or any kind of a triangle. Rather not be reminded of the cheating aspect of all of it so much.

Inside Men

Ahn Sang-goo, Woo Jang-hoon

Yes, I ship them, but you don't have to! If you're unfamiliar, in this South Korean film,  Sang-goo is an appearance-obsessed gangster who trusts the wrong father-figure and gets his hand chopped off for his trouble. Jang-hoon is a prosecutor down about his lack of connections and opportunities for advancement who ends up saving Sang-goo's life and protecting him from the people who want him out of the way for good. Jang-hoon takes him to stay with his father because presumably no one would find him there, and Dad takes to Sang-goo right away and tells him to take care of his son which, wow, was not expecting that. It's a really shippy film, lots of close-talking and shouting in each other's faces, and guilt and regret about the way things are happening, and a beautiful friendship in the end where gangster has become a term of endearment instead of an insult and Sang-goo things Jang-hoon needs a style makeover.

It's a fun movie with a couple of unholily sexy guys, with action, intrigue, humor and sex appeal oozing out of everywhere. I have only seen the 2 hour version, though I would dearly love to see the 3+ hour director's cut. I haven't read the comic it was originally based on, either. But I do love the film! I would appreciate there not being fart or constipation humor. There's not much in the film, granted, but we can skip that kind of thing please.

  • Jang-hoon's a bit of an asshole to his dad, while the "shithead gangster" treats him with absolute respect. A scene where Jang-hoon realizes how kind Sang-goo is to his father and starts to change his attitude toward them both a little bit would be interesting to see. Does it have to do with Sang-goo's family backstory that he's so reverent of Jang-hoon's father? He tells Jang-hoon's his father's last words, but maybe lean into the idea that he has regrets about letting him down or something to add layers to it.
  • Does he find something(s) interesting in Jang-hoon's room that he can bring up to him later? Maybe they have a real shared interest that he discovers while snooping around. Maybe he secretly loves to read and bonds with Jang-hoon's father over that and it bothers Jang-hoon a bit at first that  they share that, but he ends up liking it. Maybe they share a favorite book and can bond over that.
  • Sang-goo is always shoving both too hot and too much food into his mouth like he can't wait the few seconds for it cool off or he won't get enough. Does Jang-hoon's dad notice and comment, maybe wondering if he'd been hungry as a child or something? Is there a good reason for him to do that? He's so worried about appearances, it kind of clangs that he'd be willing to appear as a glutton. Maybe there's a reason that Jang-hoon discovers.
  • I love it when they're being assholes to each other, which is a lot. More of that, each giving as good as he gets and not letting the other get one up on him. Their rivalry and growing friendship throughout the movie is such a blast.
  • Post-canon, give me the dinner scene after Sang-goo shows up at his office. What do they talk about? What do they give each other a hard time about? Has Sang-goo kept in better touch with Jang-hoon's father than Jang-hoon?
  • Have them both show up at Jang-hoon's childhood home to surprise his dad and have dinner afterward, and maybe there Sang-goo confides about the harder moments in prison (just something like being taunted to fight because assholes wanted to make his sentence worse, a mild beating or something, his food getting stolen, but not prison rape or anything that extreme please). I just really like leaning into father and son dynamics and the idea of Jang-hoon coming to understand both of the other men by the things they say to each other.
If you ship it, any rating is fine. Their at-odds relationship is the stuff of unlikely ship dreams for me:
  • I love that after Jang-hoon saves Sang-goo's life, he protects him by taking him first to what might be a love hotel (though maybe not, but the bed is pink) and then taking him to stay with his father where he sleeps in Jang-hoon's childhood room. The above prompt about that works in a shippy way too, but if they find they had the same actor crush, or maybe he finds a secret diary from his childhood, anything personal that could lead to revealing conversations.
  • The fact that they're in a romantic looking hotel when Sang-goo wakes up from his beating, and Jang-hoon has saved his prosthetic hand, screams possibilities to me. After Sang-goo is a little healed, of course. Angry flirting. All the angry things. They're already so oddly familiar with each other despite being so at odds.
  • And I love so many of the getting-together tropes. Omg there's only one bed! Omg we have to pretend to be a couple for reasons! Omg one has a nightmare and the other holds them to comfort them! It's hard to go wrong with that kind of thing.
  • Maybe Sang-goo needs a little more actual care after he's beaten. Doesn't need to be anything sexual here, because plain old hurt/comfort is my jam. Maybe Sang-goo has to save Jang-hoon at some point, in a similar situation where he needs some TLC afterwards.
  • I mentioned above Sang-goo's terrible habit of shoving huge quantities of boiling food in his mouth. His tendency toward a lack of patience when it comes to putting things in his mouth could be played up for fun, I think. He's always either eating, drinking or smoking. Oral fixation?
  • Post-canon dinner and more? They haven't seen each other for a while. Maybe somebody needs to be pampered and it becomes obvious the more time they spend together that night, and things OCCUR.

The Trollenberg Terror

Alan Brooks, Philip Truscott

I doubt the writer or filmmaker intended Philip to look like he was flirting his ass off from the moment he met Alan or appear so drawn to him, but that's how it turned out anyway, and I am there for it. I don't mind any other characters showing up, and if you write them in a situation where they could save Dewhurst or Klein, that's certainly welcome. I really love Professor Crevett. I like the Pilgrim sisters, but think they're so codependent they wouldn't pair up with anybody but themselves in the film. They're welcome to appear, though!

Any missing scene with Philip and Alan would great, or canon divergences that put them alone, either before, during or after the aliens attacked in the end of the film. Flirting, banter and conversation, and UST (and maybe a first kiss or some other outward display of affection) would be the bomb.

If you don't want to write something shippy, then write them as they are in the film. Always next to each other, solving mysteries, saving each other and being competent and proactive when the shit hits the fan. Or just having a conversation about damn near anything, really.

For prompts, how about a moment when:

  • Philip and Alan get trapped alone, either in Hotel Europa or on the mountain somewhere. What happens is up to you, but if they're in peril while they're trapped, that'd be worth a bonus point.
  • we get Philip's POV while he's waiting for Alan to come back with the missing child so they can go up in the cable car. He's helping to comfort the mother, but if he's privately considering sending the car up and going to find Alan, afraid for him, worried, that kind of thing, I'd love it, particularly the relief he feels when Alan shows up.
  • they embrace after the fire-bombing raid, overjoyed that it's over and they're still alive, and have feelings, and then remember they're in a room full of people
  • they're finally alone after the fire-bombing raid, relieved and flirting again, and Alan (or Philip) can't wait another second to kiss the other
  • Philip has a nightmare about being choked to death like he almost was and wakes up screaming. Alan runs from his room to see what's going on and insists on staying with him. Or Alan can wake screaming from a nightmare of not being able to get Philip away from the alien that had him, and Philip rushes into his room to see what's the matter. Lovely h/c scenario, imo!
  • Either shippy or non-shippy, I like a scenario where they get closer after the film while they're still there (friendship or romantic), and meeting up shortly after to deal with another anomaly. If it's shippy, it'd be kind of nice to see them part just as friends who clearly want more but don't act on it for some reason, then one of them calls the other about a situation similar to what happened on the Trollenberg, or something equally screwed up, and getting back together makes them overcome their hesitancy. If written as friendship, all the friendship bonding and mutual respect as they solve the mystery and potentially save people you can cram in, and it'll be golden. Each helping, protecting, saving the other. That is delicious I will take seconds, thanks.
  • One of them has lingering injuries from the ordeal. I mean, Philip got hanged by the thing, and Alan got a bit mauled. Maybe adrenlin kept them going but once the threat is over, one of them needs further medical care and the other refuses to leave his side (shippy or loyal friendship-just gimme all the loyalty in whatever form).
  • Together somewhere, whether just a friendly meet-up to reminisce or while they're traveling as a couple or something, a real-life danger crops up. Maybe an armed robbery, or an explosion or something relatively banal compared to tentacled giant-eye aliens with mind-control powers, and they handle it together.
Los Espookys

 Andrés, Renaldo, Úrsula

I just discovered this wonderful show. Feel free to include Tati and/or any un-nominated characters you want as long as the focus is on the core three. I love the whole thing.

  • The three of them are hired to create a haunt and discover something actually spooky going on. They can be scared and try to sort things out or run, or maybe they see it as some kind of a challenge and try to out-haunt the real ghosts. I can see Renaldo, especially, feel like it's a point of pride to hang in there and do the better, creepier job.
  • Maybe an actual ghost or demon they uncover helps them make a situation scarier and becomes a sort of sidekick all the while dropping hints and threats that it's going to get them when it's over, but of course that doesn't happen and it's humorous instead of scary.  A third-rate demon or something incapable of any really harm but with good horror tips.
  • Anything involving Andrés' parasitic demon. Maybe it wants more than TV entertainment and lets the others in on what he needs to do to satisfy it so they can help. The stupider, the better.
  • Anything to do with some power Andrés actually has could be fun. The sillier the power and the goofier its purpose, the better. Maybe he can predict who's going to hook up with whom and seem all wise to his friends with his predictions. Maybe he gets insight into how Father Antonio's lips look so glossy and it's a ridiculous sequence of events no one would guess, or he's addicted to flavored sparkly lips gloss you roll on with the ball and it's a secret shame. Úrsula dating someone and he can see they're not really human or possessed or just a total shit so they have to break that up could be fun, too.
  • I love Renaldo's lack of interest in dating, romance or sex, tbh. The neighbor girl who wanted to sleep with him who ended up sleeping with Úrsula instead was fantastic. Another scenario where someone's pursuing Renaldo to end up with her would be great.
  • I can get on board with Renaldo/Andrés, though I ship them in sort of a loyalty, soulmates-who-thought-we-were-just-best-friends kind of way rather than in a sexual way. But I also love them as best friends who'd do anything for each other.
  • Really any story that has them all being best pals and protecting each other from their worse instincts.
